Drugs requiring guidance <Drugs with no established risks as over-the-counter drugs>

It does not have any significant effect on the human body in terms of its efficacy and effects, and is intended to be used at the discretion of the consumer based on information provided by pharmacists and other medical personnel, and Designated by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare after hearing the opinion of the Pharmaceutical Affairs and Food Sanitation Council, as requiring face-to-face information provision by pharmacists and guidance based on pharmaceutical knowledge for proper use.

Class 1 drugs <Drugs with particularly high risk>

Medicines that are designated by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare as having the potential to cause health damage to the extent that they interfere with daily life due to side effects, etc., and which require special care when used.
Those for which the period specified by the Ordinance of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has not elapsed since they were approved as new over-the-counter drugs.

Designated second class drug

Among Class 2 drugs, those designated by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare as requiring special attention.

Explanation regarding the display of drugs requiring guidance and category 1 drugs during face-to-face sales

For display equipment inside the drug display area requiring guidance, which is a locked display equipment or a display equipment that cannot be directly touched by purchasers (measures must be taken to prevent purchasers from entering within 1.2 m of the surrounding area). I will display it. However, display equipment and other displays that cannot be directly touched by a person who intends to purchase or receive pharmaceutical products, a person who has purchased or received pharmaceutical products, or a person who uses pharmaceutical products purchased or received by these persons. This does not apply when displaying in equipment.
